Mercedes-Benz CPC Module Upgrade

Newer Mercedes-Benz vehicles (as well as all pre-2019 E-Class) are equipped with a Central Powertrain Controller module more commonly known as a “CPC” module. This CPC module was engineered to override certain aspects of the Engine Control Unit, also referred to as a “ECU” as well as control over other modules controlling things such as exhaust valves.

With overriding control over module’s in your vehicle, limitations are set and controlled by the CPC. These limitations hold back additional performance. Think of the CPC as having two ECUs'. One controlling everything the engine control unit is doing (ECU) and the other (CPC) limiting certain things the ECU is doing.

Since the ECU and CPC work together, our engineers have designed a full CPC upgrade which will include a new CPC module, upgraded software and enhanced features.

Unfortunately you can not. Reason for this is because Mercedes-Benz has what is called “One-Time-Programming” sector also known as OTP zone. This area is a one-time program area which CAN NOT be programmed over or re-written. This area is equipped with coding that checks the bootloader, application and calibration section of the CPC to prevent against tampering. If they all do not match to the required calculation, the vehicle will not operate. Anyone who tells you different, is just trying to selling you a myth. The most they will be able to do is change small variant coding changes (nothing to do with power or limiters) using Mercedes-Benz cloned tools that have ZERO effect to power, torque, boost, limiters, etc… whereas a full replacement from us will allow your vehicle to be fully unlocked to gain all benefits that once was not achievable.

For this unprogrammable reason, we start off with a new blank CPC module. This gives us the ability to write our own bootloader, application and calibration section. Giving us a blank canvas and allowing us a “no limit” style programming which our AMR Performance engineers love to do!

The AMR Performance CPC upgrade is custom patched and programmed allowing us to continually access the software. This gives us the ability to allow your vehicle to gain its true potential without the CPC's factory settings limiting the ECU and vehicle performance. The change is tremendous. We unlock the full potential of what the vehicle has to offer. Some of these enhancements are:
